Clean up SMQ1 entries for BW upgrade

Dear professionals,

We are going to upgrade our SAP BW system to the latest Netweaver 7.5 version. I checked our queues in our ERP server SMQ1 and would like to clean them up before upgrade. I found that currently there are 4 scenarios:

1. Queues which have destination to a retired system. I guess we can simply delete them from SMQ1 without problems?

2. Queues which have destination to our BW system to be upgraded, and the datasource involved is still active. The number in the queue entries are relatively small which may indicate the BW system is still actively utilizing it. How should we handle them for our upgrade process? Can we just leave them as it is?

3. Queues which have destination to our BW system to be upgraded, but the datasource involved is not being used anymore. No process chains in our BW system will retrieve them. So the number in the queue entries of those queues are large. Can I simply them those queues from SMQ1 without problems?

4. There are MCEXxx queue entries which the destination is "NONE". I checked the queue entries and most of them are unrelated to the BW system. Can we safely ignore them?

Thank you.
