CLFMAS for SO line item

Hi Experts,

I've been looking for an answer all over SCN, but couldn't find one. I understand that if we want to send material configuration in IDOC format, we can trigger a CLFMAS IDOC from BD10 transaction (along with the MATMAS IDOC of course). Or we can also use change pointers to achieve the same.

However, what to do if we are using standard LO-VC and we don't have material (finished good) level configuration? So we are configuring the sales order line item and the material in the sales order line item is also a generic one, like DUMMY01. In the production order we also producing the DUMMY01. And the exact config of the sales order line item (and production order) will tell us the characteristics, but we won't find the configuration in MM03 system.

So how can we send CLFMAS IDOCs out without having material number level configuration? I mean I can insert the material number in BD10, but it won't send out the right classification details, since the config has been done on sales order item level.

Could you help me on how to trigger the CLFMAS IDOC in this case (in a standard way)?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Tamas

seems like the E1CUVAL, etc. segments are meant to hold this information within the sales order idocs.
