Because as of now, when i enter the required fields to reset the password, it says "Incorrect Information Provided".

hi,
One of the function it does is password reset. It asks for the user id, first name, last name and email id and when submit it sends a new password to the email id if email is enabled for ur portal. And in other logon problms, you can mail note to your portal administrator. These all work only when email has been configured for your portal.
