I am unable to generate compound documents in Enable Now Producer. Recently the client upgraded to Microsoft 365. Do any settings need to be updated to reflect that upgrade?

Thanks Shane. I have a version of Word installed under "Microsoft 365 Apps". Are you saying that is a cloud version of Word and what I need is a local desktop version? Excuse my ignorance, I just need to be very clear on what I'm asking the client IT Support to do.

I don't know whether "Microsoft 365 Apps" provides a cloud or local version. I guess you can check by opening Word and seeing if you then have winword.exe running in Task Manager? But yes, to confirm, you need a local desktop version.

Hi Vanessa,

Office 365 is not supported for the generation of documentation. I've just checked the requirements document and this is what is listed:

You will need to get a version of Word installed on your PC.

Shane

It appears to be all document types so, Dirk, it looks like it's an issue with Word not being supported. We are on the cloud version of SEN. Any suggestions on how we fix the issue?

Shane confirms, as I expected, Word needs to be installed locally. Check with your IT people if this is an option.

Is it ONLY the Compound Document? That would be odd. If it s all document types (including single documents) then it is likely the version of Word isn't supported. If it is the cloud version then that could be the problem. I believe SEN expects Word to be installed locally.
