Exception condition "WRITE_FAILED" raised during installation 4.0

dear experts

I tried to install solution manager 4.0 on windows server 2003 with MSSQL.

I got this error message.

    so i thought, DDIC password was wrong...

    I decided to change DDIC password...

    As you can see, i typed the exact same password that i entered.... ( I captured every single screen one by one )..

    I had the same issue and it was related to SAPTRANSHOST. <sid>adm didn't have access. I manually granted permission and setup ran without any issues...

    yeah, it occurred to me also, ultimately resulted as permission problem, try assigning full permissions to everyone ( for test purpose ) on the destination folder and see if that resolve the issue.

    The issue is that the transport domain does not exist, configured and distrubuted in your system. Check Rz10 profle parms and verify that the DIR_EPS_ROOT and DIR_TRANS are valid location in the instance profile. Then restart system and run STMS to configure the transport domain. Once you configure the TP domain, "run a retry" and it will work. Note you can receive this on ECC install as well.

    Hi Guys,

    One more thing to consider is to switch off the windows firewall, that is if you're running the installation on Windows.
