Upload the stock for merger-demerger project

Hello,

Currently i am working on merger- demerger project.

Two existing company code business merge with third existing company code. and also loading the stock for old company to new company code.

So Please suggest me what tools are better to loading the stock and open purchase order. and what movement type we required to use.

Please guide hoe to achieve this.

I really like the old and proven LSMW tool to mass upload data - SAP Help Legacy System Migration Workbench. It provides direct input methods to upload purchase orders:

and material documents (stock entry):

If you prefer you can also use BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE with LSMW to post material documents:

Notice that LSMW used BAPI-ALE interface to post BAPI calls. Therefore you need to customize IDoc Inbound Processing

SAP provides the 561 goods movement type to upload initial stock.

Generally this is rollout project where you need to create new organization structure for new entity ( new company code, new plant, new sales organization, new division, new purchase organization and new purchasing groups) and plan to map from old entities with old organization structures. For stock from old entity to new new entity - you can use 562 and 561 movement types respectively , mostly use LSMW .Most of cases for master data and transaction data you can use LSMW and also sometime you can use BDC for few case such as many storage locations extension for material master/s.
