While executing the report ME3N with any input screen value / with variant then after execute report output is coming but while clicking on back icon then input screen automatically getting reset to initial.

But multiple user are requesting to save user specific default input screen value which should not get reset while clicking on back.

Unfortunately, what your users are seeing is correct - but let's go into why:

the ME*N reports are used to "fetch" a subset of results from the saved data inside the business, at that point in time

- Any reports are a 'snapshot' of the live data. Clicking the 'back' button is linked to opening a new query string.

Users are asking that the users results from the variant selection (which are dynamic) be retained when the user "backs out" of the edit mode after editing them.

> The original 'fetch' done in the first step (with the saved variant) is no longer valid as it has been edited - meaning the edited entries are no longer valid in the context of the report.

So the reload / refresh - or 'blank screen' - is correct here - a 'flush' of the original results is done as when anything in the results is edited, this becomes a different results set.

What your users are (inadvertently) suggesting is they go "back" to the original results, but these have changed in the meantime, so would not be valid / correct in any case.

We suggest saving user variants that are limited in records returned (say, 5 or 10 would be a starting point) - or, put simply, have your users only select 5 or 10 records at a time, so they get used to loading / editing / reloading with smaller subsets of data returned.
