FLP is asking for a username and password

Hi,

Before SAP FIORI FOR S4HANA upgrade when /n/ui2/flp tcode was executed a browser was opened and it was not needed to do login. After upgrade when we execute this tcode FLP is asking for username and password.

Any idea how can we solve this issue?

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Agustín

You should provide information from which S/4HANA version you've upgraded and to what version.

Hi Gregor,

The new versions are:

Hi all,

Problem is solved, I have updated SAP GUI to 770 version SP6 and I have changed Browser Control from Control Settings on SAP GUI Options to Edge (based on Chromium) and now Edge browser is opened and don't ask for username and password

Thanks for your support,

Hi Agustin,

SAML Configuration can be same, Please check the certificate of the Active Directory in your SAP System, may be you need to upload the certificate in SAP server.

Hi Agustin,

If you want FLP will automatically get the User Name and Password of window Logged in user then you have to configure the SAML configuration in your system. If you have upgraded your system then SAML configuration will not work. First you check the SAML configuration in you old system and then configured in new System.

As per my understanding system will pick the Windows Logged on User and authenticate it in the launchpad.

Is SSO still activated?

Hi,

I also would check the SSO settings, and also to check the settings of the SICF-nodes.

I would definitely not prescribe a user for the SICF nodes.

Hi Warren,

We do not have the SSO configured, the issue is that before doing the upgrade when the transaction /n/ui2/flp was executed, the browser opened and did not ask for username and password, but after doing the upgrade, when executing the transaction it asks for username and password. In fact, we have systems that have not been upgraded and do not even ask for username and password.

hi sapero my idea is that somehow the ticket profile parameters are not set for your purpose, please find below my settings where /n/ui2/flp opens a IE (ignoring my default browser) without prompting credentials request:

login/create_sso2_ticket = 2

login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1

cheers!A

Hi Amo,

I have checked the parameters and they have the correct values:

login/create_sso2_ticket = 2

login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1

Hi Agustin,

There are many ways where system won't ask for credentials.

Most commonly used is where you can define a common user in the sicf node of flp service and after saving the configuration system won't ask you for credentials.

Try to maintain the credentials and check.

Hi Rohit,

I have set the loguin in the service /default_host/sap/bc/ui2/flp but now all users log in with the one I have configured in the service and not with their own.
