HU quantity more than required

I have an outbound delivery for material A with qty 3 from Storage location which is HU managed. Currently inside that SLOC, there are few HUs having qty 2 and few HUs with qty 1 of material A. I have selected one HU with qty 2. Now, on selecting one more HU with qty 2, SAP is throwing error

On selecting HU with qty 1, I am not getting this error. Why is this error coming? Aren't we allowed to use HU that has more qty of material then required?

I was under the impression that partner SLOC comes into picture here. And partner SLOC is maintained for the above SLOC in system.

this is standard behavior

Delivery position quantity and all HU put for that position must be equal

If HU quantity is more than delivery position quantity then you will receive the response as you got now

What you need to do is-unpack and pack HU as per needed quantity of delivery position

Partner storage location will come into picture while repacking, packing not while assigning HU in outbound delivery
