Is it possible to do complex loading without transport entity?

Hello,

You can of course setup POSC with loading as last step w/o TU integration.

You can follow SAP standard storage process OUT1 for normal outbound process having steps OB01, OB02, OB03 and OB04

Pick->Pack->Stage->Loading

Observations:

If you have setup door determination based on /SCWM/STADET_OUT then storage bin determination for the loading step is done based on storage bin assigned to door in transaction /SCWM/DOOR_SCU. Here system won't create loading WT with empty storage bin even if you have set WT generic for storage type 9040.

In fact loading WT creation will fail if bin is not assigned to the door in /SCWM/DOOR_SCU.

if you have assigned storage bin to door in /SCWM/DOOR_SCU then everything will be okay. system will create loading WT with prefilled destination storage bin. But you want WT w/o destination storage bin, is that understanding correct?

If you need loading WT with just storage type 9040 , but no bin then you must not setup door determination.

also, you need to put 9040 directly in POSC setup or you can also put in WPT . I maintained in POSC .

here , loading WT will be created with no storage bin (because you set WT generic to 2 in storage type setting of 9040)

problem here is- you won't be able to confirm this loading WT in RF . Just explore this if you can manage to do so.

If confirmation by monitor is okay for you then this is going to work.

Regards

ASLAM

Thanks so far fory our help! Unfortunatly I can't get either of the things you said working.

I'll show you what I set up so far. Maybe you can find my mistake. I would want it to still be adjustable. So it would not be a problem to put the doors into one warehouse type. And then in the outbound delivery you enter which exact door you want the hu to be. Afterwards you should be able to complete the complex loading. Remember, I do not use a transport or something like that. As yo can see in my outbound delivery no transport entity or route is being used.

Have you done staging area and door determination in /SCWM/STADET_OUT?

If you are working with door then in POSC setup , you don't have to mention any destination storage type for your OB04 step.

It should be rule based. Remove T940 from the customizing and set the check box rule based for OB04 step.

Also share the screenshot of storage process.

Hi,

just a rough guess, maybe it can work like this:
  1. You have created an outbound process in POSC with loading as the last step
  2. You assign a specifically created warehouse process type to that step, that points to your storage type for doors (Role F, like 9040), only the type, no bins. For each door, a bin with that ST needs to be created and assigned.
  3. In that ST for doors, you set the WT creation control to 'generic', so the WT has only a ST as a destination and the bin must be entered by the user during confirmation.
  4. After confirmation of that loading WT the WO for the outbound stock removal is confirmed and GI can be posted

Of course that way there is no more system supported process for the actual physical loading onto a vehicle.

Kind regards

I will try that, thanks!

Edit: Where do change Step 3? In the ST settings?

Hi,

What is the rationale behind this? Generally, loading takes place onto a vehicle or truck. If you want to skip TU, there is a new Integration available between SAP TM and EWM via Freight orders (Advanced Shipping and Receiving). I can imagine, in that case TU creation would not be mandatory.

The thought behind it is, that the HU will wait on the shipping lanes (in an automatic warehouse) and a user will go around and decide to which Gate which Hu will be sent to. And for that I would need an WT for that. But do you think it will be possible to do that in a normal outbound delivery?

Kind regards

Complex Loading and Unloading is not supported in Advanced Shipping and Receiving.
