Hi All,

I am using BO 4.3 & getting error while trying to login in IDT using my user credential with Enterprise authentication, user is member of Administrators so there is no any access/rights issue.

Any idea please? PFA.idt-logon-error.png

Click "Details". That error message is generic, and can have many different causes.

Are you using a cluster name or a server name as the system? If you've never logged in to the IDT or other client tool from this computer, your first login needs to be by server name so that it can pull in the cluster information. If that's successful, the appropriate registry entries will be created for the cluster so you can then close the IDT and log in again with the cluster name to actually work in the IDT.

I can login in UDT or other client tools with same user credential without any issue using same server or cluster name as the system.

When I use Administrator user credential, IDT is working fine but when I use a particluar User who is a member of Administrator user/group, its not working.

Got it. This is definitely a security issue. Have you tried making the user a member of the "Universe Designer Users" group in addition to the Administrators group?

Another option is to update the security for the IDT. In the CMC, go to Applications, right-click on "Information Design Tool", and select "User Security".

Make sure that the Administrators group has the right to "Log on to the Designer and view this object in the CMC".

Thanks Dell. Now I am able to login in IDT.

One more thing, I am using Fiori BI launchpad and unable to open Report in New browser Tab.

Please see the attachment..

Unfortunately, that's such a generic error, that I'm not sure what the problem is. Have you looked in the Knowledgebase to see whether there is an answer there for this issue? I might search specifically for the terms webi new window error.
