there are no additional versions to install, you can upgrade to BI 4.3 Sp2 P3 directly.

There is a link to the file where it is indicated that you need to upgrade to 4.3 sp1

the list you refer to simply indicates that 4.3 Sp1 is the first patch level that contains all the fixes you had in 4.2 sp8 p3, it does not in any way tells to upgrade to 4.3 sp1 first and then to sp2 p3.

Thanks for the clarification, one more clarification, if I have 4.2 sp7 patch6 and I want to upgrade to 4.2 sp8 patch 3, I don't need to upgrade to 4.2 sp8 patch0 first

the same rules apply to any initial patch level - you can always upgrade the latest desired patch level directly.

intermediate upgrades only needed in certain niche scenarios where you're upgrading from very old versions.Like 3.x or 2.x
