S4HANA 2020 Service vs S4HANA Customer Service on-premise



We are in a greenfield implementation for Service process in a local company. Our system is on S4HANA 2020 on-prem. Is it possible to active S4HANA Service and have it in parallell with old CS-module? The reason we want to do this is to evaluate if the new Service module will cover the requirements of the client.

Please let us also know if you have experienced the same and which solution you went for, especially, how did you handle the previous functionality of the DIP-profile?
