Usage of aATP-ABC plant subsitution with multiple SAP Systems

Dear all,

we are currently in the process of preparing an SAP APO replacement project which would include finding a new solution for our gATP module. In gATP we are using rule- based ATP with plant substitution. Our current setup is, that we have 3 ECC Systems connected to our SAP APO System and we are using a cross-System delivery process. In future we will also have one additional S/4 system connected to it.

(Further Info: https://help.sap.com/saphelp_me60/helpdata/EN/38/69b65334e6b54ce10000000a174cb4/content.htm)

Our understanding is, that aATP-ABC would support only one SAP ERP system for the plant substitution. Is that still the case? Would somebody know if SAP is working on enhancing the functionality to enable a plant substitution with plants in several SAP ERP systems?

What would be your idea for an gATP replacement / migration?

Looking forward to your ideas and thoughts on this matter.

Thanks in advance

BR

Hi Lars,

when you are saying "In future we will also have one additional S/4 system connected to it.", I assume you connect the S/4 system to the APO. Is this understanding correct?

Andreas

Hi Andreas,

have you had any chance to think on this topic?

Can we continue with the discussion? 🙂

Hi Andreas,

Yes we would have to connect the new S/4 System to APO, as well.

That connection would have to be used until we have all "old" APO functionality in the successor systems.
