Hi all:

Can anyone help me to understand time series results. What this Cycle 26%age means for the month Oct 2021?

Hi Zainab, thanks for asking the question.

It's very easy to understand. A time series forecasting model is computed. In your example the model is based of a trend (the red curve) and cycles (the orange curve). Let's say your forecast coming from the predictive model represents in total 1800 or so. You can break down this number between the contribution of the trend (probably 1700+ in your case) and the contribution of the cycles (26 in your case). For predictive analytics standpoint, the model we use is said "additive". trend + cycles + fluctuations + influencers = forecasts. The % you see in the table underneath is the overall ratio when looking to the relative contribution of the different components.

I advise you to read this blog There is also information about cycles.

Also, now there is a cool course on openSAP and this week, just in detail, antoine.chabert tells about the functionality of the predictive and, in particular, about cycles too.
