I understand there is some kind of additional pre-setting exist for storage location beyond standard storage location and is provided as a reference so that customer can refer this and create their own storage location.

The question is when to use what reference
Q1: For finished goods storage location , yes it is easy to pick the 'Finished goods storage location, BUT what happens when finished goods is managed with Handling unit, now do you select 'finished goods' as reference as 'handling unit managed' as reference? (I think i need to pick handling unit managed)
Q2: Is there any difference between Finished goods, Semi-finished goods and raw materials? Which one of these I select as a reference for MRO storage location?
Is there a clear document exist as when to use which 'sub-type' , what is the difference and what functionality it drives? This would help us to pick the right sub-type when creating new storage locations.
