SAP Analytics Could : Deriving Monthly Head Count Success Factor

Hi Experts,

I have a scenario where there is

Employee Start Date

Employee End data

Employee Status

Now based on this I need to derive the Monthly Head Count in traditional BW it was quite Simple but in SF its seems to be a challenge.If any expert can advice any work around this.
