Customer Attributes missing in Manage Customer Master Data app

Hi,

Are the Customer Attributes not available in the 'Manage Customer Master Data' app or am I just not looking well enough?

They are available in the Maintain Business Partner app in the Customer: Additional Data tab.

Hi Wouter,

"Freely Definable Attributes" for Customer BP is not fully supported in S/4HANA Cloud Essential(ES) yet.

To enable the feature, first of all, attributes from 1 to 10 need definition, which should be done via configuration step 103893. But the feature is not enabled in the Fiori APP "Manage Customer Master Data". You may only see the section using the web GUI APP "Maintain Business Partner"as the screenshot you posted.

You may also check the difference of the feature scope between each business partner APPs here.

As a workaround to achieve a similar business target, you may use the Classification feature for your customer BP. Please check the Help Portal for more information.

Otherwise, please submit a feature request via Customer Influence Portal if you find only the traditional customer attributes feature can fulfill your demand.

I'm sorry but these customer attributes can be defined in SSCUI for S4HANA Cloud. See attached screenshot.

So there is nothing on the roadmap to add this to the Manage Product Master Data app in the future?

In the meantime I will look into the Classification feature.

Thanks for the correction.

You are right about the usage of configuration step 103893, which can make the feature work as expected with the Web GUI APP "Maintain Business Partner". I've corrected my previous answer as well.

However, no related feature release is planned, nor any other customer has raised the feature request on the Fiori APP, as I checked both the SAP product roadmap and the Customer Influence Portal.

Classification would be a more modernized and more flexible way to define the attributes and the assignment for a customer using Characteristics assigned to Classes of type "011" for the Customer BP role, or type "BUP" for the general role.

In Manage Customer Master Data app there is no field related to attribute, only customer group related to a Sales Area.

In case you want to add or change any field you can do it by customizing: App Extensibility: Manage Customer Master Data

Hi Wouter,

If I understand your question correctly, you are looking for Customer Attributes (such as Customer Group 1, Customer Group 2, etc.) in the "Manage Customer Master Data" App.

They are indeed available on that App. These are Sales Area Specific Entries, and may differ from 1 Sales area to another. Hence, you would find them under the Specific Sales Area.

Following steps to find them -

Manage Customer Master Data App -> Enter Customer Number under "Business Partner" -> Go To tab "Sales Area" -> Select Specific Sales Area -> Go to Tab "Additional data"

Here you would find the said attributes.
