Unable to change the batch management flag in Plant Data/ Stor 1 view of Material Master

Dear Experts

A new FG material was created and the production order has been confirmed. The super user had accidentally ticked the batch management flag in Plant Data / Stor 1 , view of the material master .

For the same material, the production order was created. Currently it has been in confirmed.

The production department , do not want batch management enabled for this material . However, the system wont allow the changes due to open order. Is there any work around to disable the batch management in the existing scenario.

The prerequisites for setting/unsetting batch management are listed in the note 1873593 - Batch management flag is not possible to set / unset

If you want a shortcut you can purchase SAP service/tool as described in the note 533383 - Resetting the batch management requirement

If you have posted any GR document after activating the batch management then you will not be able to deactivate it.

If you want to do so then you have to delete all the stock by posting 201 and deleting all the open purchase, sales, production, transfer orders.
