SXMB_IFR not working

Former Member

Hi all,

We had installed XI server, which was working all right.

Due to some changes in the IR not getting reflected, we tried to refresh the cache.

Still the changes were not getting reflected, so we had to finally restart the server.

After restarting we can log into the XI server, but the web page which gets displayed by the sxmb_ifr command is not coming up.

This is a very urgent requirement.

Pls if anybody can help soon bcause we are totally stuck.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Neetu

Hi,

There are number of ways to do that :

1. try using url and port number like sample(http://Server name:Port number/rep/start/index.jsp)

2. Ask your admin person and add an entry in hosts file mapping with IP address and url.

like this

194.111.31.61 uslt04.bp.com

3.Lastly, u might have some problem with ur JRE installation. In that case i would sugesst you to re-install JRE/ Java WebStart.

Neither

http://<server>:<port>/ link

nor

http://<server>:<port>/rep link

is working.

Its giving the same 'Page cannot be displayed message'.

Neetu,

That could mean that your Java portion of XI is not workign properly. Can you start visual admin tool and check that all the services are running. You might have to manually start those which have not automatically started.

Hi Neetu,

1) Check the connectivity with all system & server (inc n/w)

2) Register the hostserver entry in your sys32/ host file

e.g 10.2.4.56 <server name>

Hope it works well

Hi,

Make sure that your J2ee engine is available, by trying this URL,

http://<host>:5<system number>00.

If this is giving an error, then try restarting your j2ee engine.

Hi Neetu,

Just see if you can call the URL

http://<hostname>:<J2EE_Port>/rep . This URL is called by transaction sxmb_ifr

Neetu,

Can you try the link http://<server>:<port>; . If this is successful that means your J2EE server and services are fucntioning fine. The problem could then be on the ABAP stack.

Hi neetu

Try this url

http://<host-name or IP address of XI server>:<java Port number)>/rep/start/index.jsp

for eg:

<b>http://SERVERXI:50000/rep/start/index.jsp</b>

Hi Neetu,

Try opening it directly from the url

http://<host>:<j2ee http port>/rep
