Hi Pawan,

It's always better to condense the field values before populating them in the IDOC. Otherwise, there is a possibility of extra space added to the fields.

Please reward points if it helps.

hi

it's alwaz a good practice to use Condense before populating them in IDOCS to make sure no space are added at the front and back of the char type data object!!

reward point if it helps..

can this CONDENSE also be used with other data types such as int4 etc. alongwith character data types?

Hi pawan,

CONDENSE works only with charcter datatypes.

It works with data types: C, N, D, T, String.

if we are dealing with any char type variables, there is a chance that it may be populate with leading/trailing spaces, which should be avoided.

to do this we use CONDENSE.
