On Prem Integration

Hi SDNites,

We have to integrate On Prem system with On Prem and client do not intend to use SAP PO for this and want SAP CPI to be used. Can you please advise,

1. With on premise on both sides, SAP CPI can use the same cloud connector to connect to both on premise systems. Is that an acceptable approach and any issues can arise with that?

2. Is it worth going back to client to not have SAP PO or any other on premise middleware in landscape to have on prem to on prem integration. (With this approach they need to have SAP CPI and SAP PO both in landscape)
