Budget exceeded error although budget is available

The SAP system is issuing a budget error message saying the budget exceeded by an a particular amount although there is budget on the funds center and commitment item

In addition to Elis' comment, if the problem persists, you could run a trace of the following transactions to check the data used in your posting:

- FMDERIVE - FM account assignment element derivation from other components (PS, FI, CO, etc)

- FMAVCDERIAO - Modification of FM account assignment elements for availability control purpose

- FMAVCDERITPROF -Determination of availability control profile based on FM account assignment elements (The one derived in FMAVCDERIAO).

Hi,

As you can understand, the data you have provided is not enough to give you an answer. However, as a first step I would recommend to run FMAVCREINIT transaction to make sure that AVC ledger is in order. If this doesn't help, you would have to provide more details.

The system is shows 62 520 as available on FMRP_RW_BUDCON and FMAVCR01 the system shows 17 388 as available. I cannot explain the difference between the two amounts. This difference form part of consumed amount on FMAVCR01 Transaction code. I cannot confirm how that difference was consumed because I can't find it under actuals and commitments.
