SAP Delivery creation and stock availability

At my location, customer performs a ATP availability check on sales orders and this then confirms sales scheduling line quantities. Many times of the day, the warehouse team then runs the SAP delivery due list to create SAP deliveries documents against schedule dates, so very much standard for the months since customer golive.

Is any functionality or enhancement available that would prevent SAP deliveries from getting created manually or from delivery due list if the warehouse does not yet have the stock actually available?The approach since golive has been to create deliveries for picking and packing based on expected date of stock and qauntities proposed by ATP but customer would like delivery to only be created if the stock is actually available in the warehouse.

Any insight of how others may have faced this issue would be welcome.
