could some tell me how to know how many infotypes are assigned to a personal number.

One option is, in PA20/PA30 enter the pernr & hit ENTER. You will notice a green tick mark againt each infotype that is maintained under the different tabs ie Pers Data/Time/Payroll/Benefits etc.

Antoher option (Not a recommended method)
Go in 'PU00' (delete Personnel Data), enter personnel number and hit 'Enter'. It will give you list of infotypes assign to that personnel number.

Use the transaction PA10, enter the personnel number and click on display. Each screen will give you each infotype of that employee.
