We are getting Incompletion log error of "Exchange Rate" when we create a credit memo with Sales API.

Dear Customer,

Please create your payload without the ReferenceSDDocument key in the header.

By not providing the ReferenceSDDocument in the payload header part, the Header Copy Routine (which is the reason) is not executed. The relationship between the documents is preserved and the information is copied from the referenced document for both header and item levels.

When creating the Credit Memo Request with reference to a Billing Document, the Exchange Rate always comes from the first item present in the Billing Document. By not providing the ReferenceSDDocument in the payload header part, the Header Copy Routine (where the issue currently is located) is not executed. This tells the system to use the information from the Item instead. The relationship between the documents is preserved and the information is copied from the referenced document for both header and item levels.
