Hello Bernard,
According your information, the register file /etc/opt/sdb
is existing on the database server.
Could you please provide more information, what was done on the
database server.
As you deleted the database software on the this server incorrectly.
- How did you do it?
- Do you have any database software installed on this server
or the directory /sapdb is empty now?
- Did you run 'sdbuninst -all' as root user?
- Do you have another database instance installed on the server?
If all(!) database software was deleted on the server, then please
also delete the file ( directory /sapdb is empty 😞
/etc/opt/sdb
&&
/usr/spool/sql ( subdirectories )
after that please repeat the database installation using SDBINST tool.
Thank you and best regards, Natalia Khlopina

Hello Natalia,
Effectively in this file I have:
bl01103:orabw3 26> more sdb
[Globals]
IndepData=/sapdb/data
IndepPrograms=/sapdb/programs
SdbOwner=sqdtya
SdbGroup=sapsys
For other informations:
yes I have uninstall correctly software,
/sapdb is empty
No other instance are installed on this server
/usr/spool/sql is empty
I think that when unistall running, the file /etc/opt/sdb was not deleted
After suppress file /etc/opt/sdb it is OK for new installation
Thank you for your Help
