How to view content of non 'analytical query' type CDS views

KBA 2593971 states that only CDS views with type 'Analytics Query' can be previewed in the 'View Browser' app and that all other types require the 'Custom CDS Views' app. How can this be done for example with I_ChartOfAccounts (type dimension)?
