Sales order type creation for Free sample

hi SAP gurus,

What type of sales order to be raised for free samples to use in SD modules ?

reason being zero billing amount to be raised to customer . But from inventory perspective , inventory qty to be reduced .

You can use OR document type itself as the control for pricing is at item category level. Standard item category TANN is available which you can assign to your order type in vov4 followed by copy control configuration from order to delivery and delivery to billing. For inventory, the control is with movement type which is assigned to your schedule line category and this schedule line category is assigned to your item category.

I suggest to take a look at scope item BDA - Free of Charge Delivery The order type used here is CBFD.
