Quality inspection of stock after 103 mov. type and before 105 mov. type | without QM module

My organization has a requirement where we do gate entry using mov. type 103 and then we send few items/sample into the testing dept. for technical suitability/quality inspection and this process is without using SAP. Once testing department approves the samples then we do 105 to post the GR/all stock into unrestricted stock.

cond. 1: 103(GR blocked stock) --> samples sent for QI without SAP --> sample Approved --> 105(Post GR to Unrestricted)

Cond. 2: 103(GR blocked stock) --> samples sent for QI without SAP --> sample Rejected --> 124(stock returned to vendor)

Could you please tell me the steps to automate the existing manual quality inspection process in my org. We also want a report that shows the stock present into the QI, testing department and the plan detail with respected to a PO.

I think you can satisfy the auditor if you just use the standard material movements correctly, no QM required. I'd see the following steps:

1. Delivery receipt to quality inspection - movement type 101 to quality inspection stok
2. Sample picking - movement type 333
3. Sample return (if samples are indeed returned to stock) - movement type 334. That's is a reversal of 333
4. Quality control decision, release - movement type 321, i.e. stock transfer from quality inspection to unrestricted stock
5. Quality control decision, block - movement type 350, i.e. stock transfer from quality inspection to blocked stock
6. Return to the vendor after negative quality control - movement type 122 from blocked stock.

I think you are misusing 103/105 goods movements and thus you have problems with the implementation of your quality control scenario. The 103 movement type is the receipt to GR valuated blocked stock. GR valuated block stock is not blocked stock! GR valuated blocked stock is the stock that is financially yours, on your books but you don't have the stock physically yet. It's used with inco terms like FOB, where the transfer of ownership is before the actual delivery to your warehouse. Therefore you can't pick samples from GR valuated blocked stock.

Why don't you just post goods receipt to quality inspection stock? Execute the sample picking and quality control without SAP and depending on the results of the control post from quality inspection stock to unrestricted or from quality inspection stock to blocked stock and then return to vendor with 124.

As per audit observations, Auditor has raised a query to control the movement of sample(sample picking and quality control) of items via SAP. We don't have QM module so can we achieve this without QM? It would be great if you can suggest the solution for the above scenario.
