Our SAP PI team are making a test connection call to eu1.concursolutions.com from within our SAP PI 7.5.
We are using SOPHOS UTM 9 as our webfilter. So the connection route is SAP PI --> SOPHOS --> Concur Europe
eu1.concursolutions.com is in the trusted whitelist on the webfilter (SOPHOS) but the connection does not work.
Looking at the webfiltering logs we can see these ip’s being blocked.
"https://104.103.204.76/"
"https://23.198.64.104/"
which translate into
a23-198-64-104.deploy.static.akamaitechnologies.com
a104-103-204-76.deploy.static.akamaitechnologies.com
We know SAP Concur uses Akamai as a CDN (content delivery network) to provide better performance
Now if we add these Akamai IP’s to the whitelisting the connection works, but we are fully aware these could change.
Our questions are:
a) Why is SAP PI seemingly sending IP’s across to the webfiltering software rather than FQDN?
b) What have others had to implement on their web filters to allow all of the akamai ip range
