Single Inspection lot for Split Quantity against different Stor.Loc

Hi All

Inspection Type: 01, when doing GR for the PO the quantity is splitted and taken in different location. The Batch and PO and material & GRN is same. Only the location is different. In this case, one inspection lot needs to be created. But in SAP, its creating so many lots based on the split quantity in the line item (Storage loc). How we can make the system to create one lot for taking GR at different locations. I have checked 'Control Lot Creation'. It doesn't fulfill my scenario. Kindly help.

Hello Vignesh,

if you see the field QMAT-CHG (Control of Inspection Lot Creation (Lot Summary)) for inspection lot origin-01. This field control the inspection lot creation.

it has got below possible options for 01-origin inspection type:

1. blank-An inspection lot for each document item

2. X-An insp. lot per purch. order item, or order item and batch

3. 1-An insp. lot per material document, material and batch

4. 2-An inspection lot for each material and batch

none of which can support the scenario that you want in standard SAP.

I can suggest a solution, where you can create an inspection lot (89-origin) for 1 GR with batch status restricted (since you got only one batch) with stock posted to different storage location. Later you can make UD of this inspection lot and update the batch status Restricted->Unrestricted. But, you have to first validate this proposal in test environment before presenting to customer. Also, give us the feedback if this works.
