Shop on Behalf Functionality Workflow

Hello everyone,

This question is regarding the shop on behalf functionality – I am trying to find out whether you can change the workflow so the initial approval workitem does not get forwarded to the requester.

In another words, if an executive assistant buys on behalf of a manager – can the work item be automatically forwarded to the manager’s approver without first going to the manager.

Has anyone try this? How extensive is the modification work?

I can only give you a clue.

I think BBP_WFL_APPROVE_BADI can help you here.

Create a Ztable for correct approver IDs and decide the correct approver via BADI.
