CDS view similar to Open documents on FBL5N (S/4HANA 2020)

Similar question has already been answered here but the mentioned CDS view I_OperationalAcctgDocItem is pretty much straight-up reading BSEG data and does not provide only open items on key date, as FBL5N would.

There is an analytical view that provides total amounts (I_TotalAccountsReceivables) but we need the specific document items, not just totals.

I've searched high and low but, unfortunately, not finding any options. Trying to drill down into I_TotalAccountsReceivables is a dystopian trip down a rabbit hole.

Closing the question. We didn't find any better solution to this, so just gave up and used BSID_VIEW. Really weird there is nothing else, all CDS views are targeted for specific Fiori apps, it seems, and not suitable for a custom web API scenario. Users are saying "we just want FBL5N".

Hi Jelena,

BSID (for Customer OPEN ITems) is now available as a CDS View only you can use the same.

or use Transparent Backup table for original BSID Table BSID_BCK for creating a Custom CDS view as per your requirements.

Thanks for a reply! We might as well just select from BSEG and BKPF (like BSID does, anyway) but I was hoping that by now more proper CDS views would exist with an authorization check, at minimum. It just seems so strange that there isn't an I_... view to replace one of the most popular transactions in FI. Hm...
