In-place migration upgrade using SUM with DMO

Hi Experts,

I would like to get a better understanding on how many server(s) is required for ECC 6.0 EHP7 conversion to S/4HANA.

Our setup is we only have 1 server where SAP AS and Oracle DB resides. So if we use SUM with DMO (or In-place migration upgrade), does it mean no need for a separate server? What would be the filesystem layout after the (if ever) successful conversion?

Hi Welmer,

First HANA need a separate appliance if you are planning to migrate your Oracle RDBMS to HANA. EhP7 systems can be migrated in one step to S/4HANA but still you need new HW which supports HANA architecture.
