When trying to introduce Focused Build to clients I normally come across the question about the difference between ChaRM and FB. I have tried to do some research and cannot find a proper answer for this. I would like to ask your opinions for the the pros and cons of using these tools in projects, especially with release management or transport management.

While Charm is a tool for change management its value is from compliance, traceability, audit proofing and resilient change management.

Focused build brings Value in the following ways,

- Provides functionality for Testing and Defect management as part of Requirement to Deploy implementation process.

- Support release management inegrated with Project management and change management.

- Facilitate development of Business Process documentation and is integrated into the requirement to deploy process.

To summarize, Focused Build is an end to end SAP implementation tool and charm is change management tool.
