Archive issue for External send by email

Hi Expert,

While issuing the PO output type,

In communication method I am maintaining the mode as Print and Archive and medium as print output

and I configured necessary things for ArchiveLink, and it works well.

During printing, the PDF is attached automatically to the PO

BUT when I am using the medium as External send.(in order to send the PDF as attachement)

The PDF is sent as attachement by email ,but it is not archived in the PO

Am I missing something? Any other develepment needed?
