Upgrading Java stack in a dual stack (ABAP + Java) system

Hi,

We need to upgrade Java to SP21 in Solman which is a dual stack system. We have been using the xml (via SUM) method to do the same for a Java only system.

Can the same method be used?

If not, how do we do the upgrade? Do we need to check ABAP & Java version compatibility? Any issues to look out for?

Any advice / help is much appreciated.
