SAPUI5 Extension App On Cloud which referes to On-Premise Standard App

I'm trying to connect an SAP Fiori Extension App to the Standard App of the On-Premise version of the app which currently refers to the Standard App On Cloud (NEO).

Is it possible or Do the Standard app is required to be in the cloud to run the extension app in the cloud?
