Sign-triggered reclassification per FS item

Dear all,

I use method reclassification with using sign of FS item set. Selection contains two FS Items: for asset and liability. The first item has sums with a positive sign, the second - with a negative sign. In the method of reclassification, it is required to take into account the sign of the sum of these two FS items. In fact only one of them is taken into reclassification, depending on the sign of the rule. Tab "Dr/Cr sign" and "Balance per characteristic" is empty.

How can use the sign of item set and eliminate one FS item from another?

Thank a lot for your advice

you need to implement two steps. : Check the below steps.

Standard Reclassfications function works to reclass - asset and liability accounts and compare the total asset balance to the total liability. reclass the total amount of liability or asset to the opposite side

Reclassfications Method : J1000 ( Read balances from AST and LEQ FS Items and post the difference to a STAT account or FS Item (1)

Reclassfications Method : J2000 ( Read the Positive (+) or Negative balance (-) from the STAT or FS Item . Post the Diff. to Either Liability or AST account by using sign based reclassification method ( which is step #2)

Jana, thank so much! This steps work correctly. Now I am struggling this fact that the "+" (trigger >=0) does not work properly. If trigger = 0, sign-triggered reclassification does not start.

Hi Victoria, would be interested to see other thoughts as i am not sure it can be done in a single step.

Currently i think you may need to:

1. reclass one account to the other, so total balance is on one FS item

2. Do sign based reclass on this summed account.

Thanks
