Hi Experts,

We had to failover the HANA DB to secondary due to issue in Primary Server however post takeover SAP ECC system is unable to start and dev_w0 has below error though I have maintained the hdbuserstore with secondary hana hostname port and default key under user SAPABAP1 and R3trans -d works too, has anyone experienced this before

** ERROR => Connect to database failed, rc=1, rcSQL=-10709

[dbhdbsql.cpp 414]

C SQLCODE : -10709

C SQLERRTEXT : Connection failed (RTE:[89006] System call 'connect' failed, rc=10060:A connection attempt failed be\

C cause the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection\

C failed because connected host has failed to respond)

Thanks

the issue was resolved, the network team had redirected the original primary's IP address to this new secondary and hdbuserstore changes were reverted to original entries.

You may want to do something like this, so it is automated. We have this for our ECC, CRM, BW, PI, SOLMAN systems. It works well and is reliable. I believe Redhat has this avilable as well.
