Use Analysis for Office and Webi without SAP BO

Hi All,

We currently have reports on Design Studio, Analysis and WEBI. We use the SAP BO platform to access them. Would it be possible to do without SAP BO?

So my questions are:

- Is it possible to use SAP Analysis for office without going through the SAP BO platform?

- Is it possible to use SAP Webi without using the SAP BO platform?

In either case, please feel free to provide me with documentation explaining the answer.

All of this questions can be answered by simple tests. Have you tried to use all those tools without connecting to BI Platform ?

Analysis Office does not require the BusinessObjects platform; you can access the BEx query directly via the BW system.

Look at your Analysis Office settings in File > Analysis > Save workbook:

It's been a long time since I accessed WebI Rich Client, but I assume you can do the same with that, assuming your connection is BW. If it isn't (e.g. the universe) then I believe you will need the BI platform.
