SAP MDG and SLP

As per SPL Link

It mentions this:

Please note that these integration scenarios currently can only be used by customers who

on MDG side are on release MDG on S/4HANA 2020, MDG on S/4HANA 1909, MDG on S/4HANA 1809, or MDG 9.2 (on ECC). These scenarios are not supported for customers working with older MDG releases.

on Ariba side use SLP exclusively. Currently we cannot support customers who already implemented Ariba P2P / Guided Buying. We plan to overcome this limitation in the future.

My question are

The last point means we cannot use MDG and SLP because we are already using ARIBA P2P.

Can we link MDG to S4 and ECC. We have an interim solution in which we will use both the systems for a year or 2.

So idea is we will do new vendor registration in Ariba SPL and feed that info to MDG. MDG will create That Vendor in ECC and S4. So that ECC and S4 are inn sync and we are not doing duplication of work.
