How do I develop UI5 Cards in Business Application Studio

I downloaded all the files from this example and copied it into Business Application Studio. When previewing the card in Business Application Studio, the card didn't load like in the example. I also tried downloading this example, and it was the same problem. Am I something missing, or isn't it possible?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello Max,

The samples you are referring to are both integration samples and represent a SAPUI5 application so they should be imported into BAS as an SAPUI5 application (not as a card). Together with this you may also need to change the path to SAPUI5 library in the index.html file.

Other samples which represent single cards can be imported as cards into BAS or elsewhere. For them the download says "Bundle as card.zip".

Thanks for your answer, Alexandar. Can I import and integrate the SAPUI5 Application into SAP Work Zone, just like Integration Cards?

Hi Max,

No, you can not import applications in Work Zone - this is not the idea. Those samples you refer to are part of the "Integration" section and they are not meant for import into Work Zone. They are meant to show you how you can write your own Work Zone if you want to.

Hello Oliver,

thanks a lot for your answer. I looked into your suggested documentation and sadly couldn't find anything helpful for this specific problem.

Maybe I just had the wrong file structure or missed some crucial files when copying the files from the examples mentioned in the answer.
