Changing Weekly holidays within the same factory calendar

Dear Experts

Scenario:-

Earlier Friday and Saturdays were weekly holidays , Going ahead from 1st January 2022, Saturday, Sundays will be the weekly holidays and Friday will be half day. . While Friday will be the half days.

In order to configure this change , I are currently trying to amend the factory calendar.

Problem summary:-

The factory calendar AE, has validity beginning from 2009 to 2026.

1. When I change the weekly workdays from year 2022 onwards, the validity start year of factory calendar, becomes from 2022 to 2026.

2. When I modify the weekly holidays and workdays in the calendar, the changes are applied to entire duration (2009 onwards till 2026).

I cannot create two separate factory calendar and assign it to the plant.

Question:-

1. Is there any way, wherein I can have different set of weekly holidays for the same factory calendar from 2009 -2021 and 2022-2026

2. If I modify the entire factory calendar ( Validity 2009-2026), with Saturday and Sunday as Holiday, what would be the adverse impact?

Hi,

Its been very long since I have worked on calendars but here are my views (I may be wrong here)

1. Is should be possible when you change your holiday calendar from 2022.

2. I think there wont be any adverse effect if you are not using this for some specific MIS purposes
