dynamically set structure elements visibility

Hello,

according to this post it is possible to use a variable to dynamically change visibillity of structure members.
In this example all structure elements have the same technical name 'layout' : Amount MM YYYY and therefore the customer exit can make use of a selection logic based on MM YYYY.

Is it possible to use this approach if technical names are completely different and in the variable prompt the user should be able to choose from 'dummy groups' which will result in showing specified keyfigures (see image)?
