Hi,

For HANA Database, after a Non-disruptive DR drill[doing DR drills when the production instance is running], is it possible to sync the secondary site without a full data shipping?

Regards,

Cheriyan,

If a secondary system/site is shut down and not used for a longer period of time like DR drill etc., unregister it first to prevent log volumes from accumulating on the primary system. However, in such a case a full data shipping will be necessary when the system reconnects.

Refer standard guide for more details.

Hi ArunKumar,

Thanks for the reply, Yes i have gone thru this before. I wonder for customers with DB size more than 10TB/20TB.. and DR systems running on cloud, how a full data shipping is feasible every time after a DR drill as the DR drills are quite done frequently these days.
