Costing Type 01 in OKKN and CK24

Hello,

We have a issue of Costing Variant. We use 2 costing variants in our SAP. One is ZSM1 to calculate the costing based on actual BOM and another one is PPC1 based on plan BOM. Actually our standard cost is released by PPC1. The ZSM1 is for simulating the costing mainly.

We was experiencing that ZSM1 saved for a testing was released. I just was knowing ONLY PPC1 should be released even ZSM1 was saved after estimating. Because I just allowed PPC1 for marking a price in CK24. However ZSM1 was released actually and I looked for the cause of this issue.

I was aware that SAP may allow to mark/release the standard price for multiple costing variants having Costing Type 01. And the costing variant field(KLVAR) is not the key field of KEKO table so last costing variant may be saved to KEKO table. KEKO-KLVAR may be rewrote.

Thus I'm going to change Costing Type of ZSM1 from '01' to '12' so that we can prevent the same situation in the future but SAP doesn't allow it on OKKN. Please advise to me or let me know if you have any idea.

Hi Jeonhoon,

If you want to use different costing type and costing valuation, you cannot use copy reference button and you cannot change it after you created it. You have to use the new entries button to re-create it. This new entries button allow you to choose different costing type and costing valuation.
