What are the steps while processing after the data(IDOC/proxy) is sent by the PO/CPI system?

Hello Team,

I observe the IDOC data lands to the SAP with status 64 initially then it changes to 53 if it is successful.

What are the intermediate steps which is usually carried out while processing the IDOC.

Please provide an insight
