I clicked the wrong button, and activiated the entire tree from the default host level down... in SICF

Is there a way to reset the services back to default?

Here https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/plugins/servlet/mobile?contentId=512231169#content/view/512231169 it is described how mass activate ICF services via RS_ICF_SERV_MASS_PROCESSING. Beforehand, the list of active services must be exported from the source system, using the report RS_ICF_SERV_ADMIN_TASKS. See the SAP Note 1555208 for details.

Maybe you can restore ypur system on another box and perform these actions there?

I am unable to perform a full restore in a different environment, however, I may be able to use these steps to clean up the ICF services on my smaller sandbox and perhaps get a good export to apply to the impacted environments.

thanks for the hints

James

Hello,

the table ICFSERVLOC contains the activation flag (field ICFACTIVE). As the flag "Log Data Changes" is activated in the technical settings (SE13), you can follow up changes with transaction SCU3. Maybe this could help to get back to the previous settings.

Hello,

your mishap prompted us to create a blog article on how to prevent this and similar cases - not in terms of a wrong mouse click, but in terms of recovering the data as quickly as possible (within a few minutes). Feel free to visit the homepage of my company and have a look into the latest blog article about saving system-specific data.

Hi jmgilpin

the answer for your question is no, there is no a rollback procedure for sicf massive activation.

andre.fischer gave you a way to manual fix what you have done.

My idea is similar to the above but, I would say, make the active services export from a specular system and you can call out the deactivation+activation based on services export as landscape alignment 😉

good luck!a

PS.: don't exclude restore with pointing time recovery, it maybe quicker

PS2: if the system where you made the tiny mistake is a non-prod, you could live with it ...

Thanks - I will use a combination of the two answers to achieve my goal.
